Trestle Goods sells well-made goods to customers who care about the details. Their old store was a slow, fragile theme the team could not touch. Every new page meant waiting on a developer, and the site loaded slowly enough to lose mobile shoppers before they saw a product. The team had good products and no good way to present them.

    The challenge

E-commerce lives and dies on speed and control. A slow product page loses the buyer before the image loads, and a team that cannot ship its own pages cannot keep up with promotions or seasons. Trestle's store was a black box. Marketing had ideas and no way to execute them, and the sales team had a site they were embarrassed to send. They needed a store that was fast, editable, and built to convert.

    Our approach

We rebuilt the store on a sane foundation. A component library meant the team could assemble new pages from proven pieces, and a tuned front end meant pages loaded before patience ran out. We paired the rebuild with SEO work so the new pages were built to be found, not just to look good.

    What we did

    Rebuilt on a maintainable CMS

We moved the store to a CMS structured around how the team thinks, so marketing ships pages on their own schedule instead of waiting on a developer.

    Built a component library

New landing pages are assembled from tested components, so every page is on-brand and conversion-ready without starting from scratch.

    Tuned for speed

Images, fonts, and scripts were tuned so product pages load fast on a phone on a weak connection, where most of the loss was happening.

    Structured for search

Product and category pages were built to rank for the searches buyers actually make, so the store is found, not just visited when remembered.

    The outcomes

    What changed for Trestle Goods.

    • Marketing ships new pages on their own schedule.
    • Page load times dropped enough to stop losing mobile visitors.
    • The sales team finally has a site they are not embarrassed to send.
    • Organic search became a steady source of new buyers.

    About this engagement.

    Book the call
Could your team really update it themselves?
Yes. We set up the CMS around their workflow and walked them through it before handoff. They ship pages without us now.
    Did you migrate the products?
Yes. We brought the catalog over cleanly and structured it to rank, so nothing was lost and the new pages were built to be found.
